A few photos from our visit to the derelict mine Nr Bath..some of the passages were a very tight fit but we managed to get to the furthest points of the mine.
Hi Andy, My name is Angelos Sinanis (Greek: Άγγελος Σινάνης), researcher and writer, and I am writing to you from Greece. I am writing a book about the mines of Antiparos Island, Aegean Sea, Greece. These mines where operational from 1875 to 1920.Somewhere in the 1880’s, they were run by Scottish company “D. Swan & Co”, of Robert and David Swan brothers (i dont find any photo). The company’s base was in Glasgow, Scotland. Both brothers lived in Antiparos for about a decade. I would be grateful if you would inform me, if there is any material in your archives, (like Swan Mine) concerning the above mentioned company in conjunction, of course, with the Antiparos Mines. If there is, would you please let me know the steps needed to obtain a copy and use it in my book? Furthermore, any information about other sources of data and knowledge on the subject would be much appreciated and noted in the publication.
I definitely want to send me the photo ''An original Wooden Craneothers'', and your name for the reproduction in my book.
Thank you for your time. Respectfully, Angelos Sinanis.
